When Marigold had disappeared, he was caught in complete depression and struggled to take care of himself. Like when he thought Gideon was dead, he often lashed out at others in the guild, stress ate, and fell into isolation. This made him more sensible over certain things, and have a more serious look at things than others. He was a mama's boy growing up, clinging to Lucy most often. Most of all, he carries his mother's dry wit, anxiety, and self-loathing. Though at first glance, Liddan seems a lot like his dad, mimicking his at times reckless and ill-thought-out behavior, however, he actually whares a bundle of traits with his mom.
